The scrutiny of the votes began in the university referendum of the Gabriel René Moreno Autonomous University (Uagrm) to approve or not the re-election of authorities and leaders. The 322 tables were enabled dfor eight hours for 1,565 teachers and 86,641 students to vote by your choice.
Julián Ibarra, president of the Electoral Court, described the day as normal and peaceful, with a wide participation of the university community. According to the electoral calendar, official results can be submitted until May 23However, they hope to have it until this weekend.
This Monday, the counting of votes is carried out in each one of the faculties, with the table jury, explained Ibarra; Later, these results will be sent to the optional committee and then to the University Electoral Court.
Ibarra pointed out that this Monday the official calculation can be installed, although it will not finish its work, until approximately the weekend.
The entire university participated in the referendum, which posed seven questions to students and teachers, with its one2 city colleges and the six comprehensive collegeswhich are located in the provinces, as well as the two academic units, also located in different provinces of the department.
The query also sought to define whether the program directors, the deans and the rector of the Uagrm must continue to preside over the legislative bodies (Illustrious University Council, Faculty and Career Councils). That is, whether or not the separation of powers will be allowed.
