The vice president of the Iranian Football Federation was arrested for fraud within the framework of a case of false cryptocurrency, the official agency Irna reported this Sunday.
According to the Mehr press agency, the vice president in charge of women’s football, Shohreh Moussavi, was arrested after “many complaints”.
In February, the president of the Iranian Federation, Shahaboddin Azizi-Khadem, was dismissed after one year in the position.
Iran Daily, a government newspaper, accused him of “lack of financial transparency” and “the signing of a contract with a Zionist company to import the VAR (assistance with video arbitration)”.
According to the official agency, the husband of the vice president has also been detained andn this case of fake cryptocurrency.
