The Venezuelan company Emtrasur asked Judge Federico Villena to return the Boeing 747, held by court order at the Ezeiza airport, sources in the case confirmed to The nation.

Judge Villena, who is investigating the circumstances of the trip of the 14 Venezuelans and the five Iranians who were traveling on board the Boeing 747, must respond to the request. Meanwhile, as a result of the information collected during the raids last week and based on the reports received from abroad and from national organizations, prosecutor Cecilia Incardona plans to issue an opinion in which she may possibly file an accusation for the events. So far the file is in the crime investigation instance.

On Sunday, Villena ordered the return of the phones and computers confiscated from the crew members because the Argentine Federal Police and Cybercrime (of the City Police) had already finished downloading the information found inside the devices. All devices must be tested. The crew of the plane will appoint an expert to control how this test measure is carried out.

The lawyer representing the Venezuelans already requested, last week, that the crew members be considered as plaintiffs in the file and criminally denounced the head of the Airport Security Police (PSA) for having carried out a raid on the plane, which he described as illegal. In one of his court appearances, he also requested that the plane be refueled and questioned the decision of the oil companies that did not agree to do so.

Meanwhile, the crew of the Boeing 747 of the Emtrasur company has been waiting for eleven days in a hotel in Canning for a definition of justice. By order of Judge Villena, none of them can leave the country.
