The cyclist Pablo Villamayor, who participated in the tour of the works for the ASU2022 Games, said that the velodrome is a work of art and a dream come true,
The athlete, who also works with children in the mountain bike route modality at the children’s sports school, said: “We thank the SND and the Olympic Committee for giving us the opportunity to have this infrastructure for the first time in Paraguayan cycling, a track USI official 280-meter track that has perates on both sides in which you can compete with various modalities, where it is also a track for various disciplines that comes to be pursuit, pure speed, team pursuit, individual pursuit, etc,” he indicated.
Villamayor stressed that after this infrastructure there will be new values ”we are working with children and thanks to this everything will remain for history” he affirmed.
“I have been in cycling for 22 years, I am one of the last champions, one of the last litters, now there are new people. This work is a dream come true, we are going to take advantage of the small values we have to reap its fruits tomorrow” he stated.
The cyclist expressed that he always dreamed of having a BMX track and a velodrome and today I can say that this dream has come true. “We are in a favorable situation for what cycling is and we must take advantage of these infrastructures that we never had and encourage people to do cycling, it is the healthiest sport and helps with their physical and mental health,” said the athlete.
