The use of the installed capacity of the industry was 67.6% in July, with a growth of 3.5 percentage points compared to 64.1% in the same month last yearinformed the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec).
Regarding the month-to-month comparison, the use of machines and tools in the manufacturing sector was located in July below the 69.1% of last June.
The improvement in the year-on-year comparison corresponds to the rise of 5.1% that marked the level of industrial activity in July in relation to the same month last year, while compared to June it reflected a decrease of 1.2%.

The sectoral blocks that present levels of utilization of the installed capacity higher than the general level were Basic metal industries, with 81.5%; manufacture of paper and cardboard, 81.4%; non-metallic minerals, 81.1%; oil refining, 78.3%; and chemical substances and products, 68.9%.
On the other hand, the sectors that were located below the general level were tobacco products, 65.1%; Edition and printing, 64.1%; Textiles, 63.8%; Food and beverages, 63.6%; Metalworking, 63.2%; Automotive industry, 54%; and rubber and plastic elements, 53.8%.
