The Union of Automotive Tramways (UTA) announced this Monday that there will be a strike due to the “total refusal to agree on the salaries of interior workers”, which will begin this Tuesday and will apply throughout the country except the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires (AMBA), which will affect the bus service on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday of this week.

“We inform the workers, the authorities, the users and the public opinion in general, that having exhausted all instances of negotiation promoted by the Ministry of Labor of the Nation, the agreement that we have been demanding has not been achieved“, they expressed through a statement from the union led by Roberto Carlos Fernández.

And they added: “We want to express that we hold responsible for all the consequences of any measure of union action to the total refusal to agree on the salaries of passenger transport workers in the interior of the country and trying to negotiate salaries different from those of the Metropolitan Area of ​​Buenos Aires”.

The transport strike will begin on Tuesday the 17th, “resuming activity on the day of the National Census (May 18) in collaboration with the function performed that day, in the instance of a national holiday,” they detailed.

And “the strike will resume on Thursday the 19th and Friday the 20th of this month,” they maintained.
