The use of a mask will no longer be mandatory on public transport

The mandatory use of the mask on public transport will be lifted, reported the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, indicating that the measure will be extended to food handlers once the standard is published in the Official Gazette.

“We are already in the legal procedures to make it official and upload it in the Official Gazette, to specify the lifting of the measure,” said Minister Sucre, who stressed that its use in health facilities will be maintained and the use was also recommended, to those who suffer from chronic diseases.

Regarding the pandemic, he mentioned that for several weeks the country has maintained low numbers of cases, complications, and hospitalizations, and for this reason, the Minsa made a suggestion to President Laurentino Cortizo about eliminating the use of masks on public transport and for food handlers. .
