The US will monitor the creation of a union in Mexico's auto parts plant

“Obviously we have a huge interest in terms of what happens, given the prior agreement that we got from the company in terms of their participation in future elections.”

Nearly 700 workers at the Mexican auto parts plant Tridonex are scheduled to vote Monday on their union representation, after two years of campaigning by some workers to replace a union they accuse of failing to push for higher wages.
