The US Secretary of State, Marco Rubiohe warned Friday that if the negotiations between Ukraine And Russia do not advance, the United States must abandon their efforts in this process.
Rubio made the statements just before leaving Paris where, together with the special envoy of the US CNN.

“If it is not possible to end war in Ukraine we must advance,” he told the press. “We need to determine quickly, and I mean a matter of days, if this is feasible.”
The American chain underlines A statement of the State Department where it was reported that the draft of a peace plan prepared by the United States and presented at these meetings had an “encouraging reception”.
The Kremlin responds
The Kremlin, meanwhile, said there have been “concrete advances” in negotiations with the United States for a peaceful arrangement in Ukraine, in response to Rubio’s statements.
“We consider that certain advances can be verified. The pessimism about the results of Rubio’s negotiations contrasts with the vision that France has on the process.
France considers that Paris conversations showed an “alignment” of the United States with the Europeans and with the kyiv authorities regarding the need to achieve a peace in Ukraine that is lasting and putting pressure on Moscow.

A PACT HOURS BEFORE
Rubio’s words arrive after the United States and Ukraine approached an agreement on strategic minerals, according to CNN. The signed memorandum is a previous step to a proposed agreement, said Ukraine Minister of Economy, Yulia Svydenko.

The details of the proposed agreement have been constantly changing since then, and Treasury officials met with a Ukrainian delegation in Washington this week to realize it, according to the US chain.
