During a press conference, Karoline Leavitt said that the Maduro Administration “is a poster” and pointed out that Donald Trump “is prepared” to stop drug trafficking

The White House spokeswoman, Karoline Leavitt, said Tuesday, August 19 that the United States is prepared to “use all its power” to stop the “drug flow to her country”, after being questioned about the deployment of three ships with 4,000 soldiers in the Caribbean waters near Venezuela.

Faced with questions about sending the troops, Leavitt answered in a press conference that the president, Donald Trump, “is prepared” to stop drug trafficking and “take those responsible to justice.”

«The regime of (Nicolás) Maduro is not the legitimate government of Venezuela. It is a drug trafficking poster, according to the opinion of this administration. Maduro is not a legitimate president. He is a fugitive leader of this poster, accused in the US of drug trafficking to the country, ”Leavitt insisted.

This Tuesday, the agency Reuters reported that three American destroyers with guided missiles Aegis will arrive on the coast of Venezuela in the next 36 hours as part of an effort to address the threats of Latin American drug cartels, according to two sources informed about the matter.

An American official told Reuters that, in total, it is expected that around 4,000 sailors and marine infants commit themselves to the efforts of the Trump administration in the southern region of the Caribbean.

Since the Maduro Administration they have expressed their rejection of the United States government accusations against Nicolás Maduro. After the increase in the recommendation for information that leads to the capture of Maduro, announced by the prosecutor Pam Bondi, the different powers of the State have issued public pronouncements reaffirming their support and loyalty.
