Financial authorities of the United States announced this Sunday a bailout plan that will ensure bankrupt Silicon Valley Bank depositors get their funds “fully” back and that American taxpayers do not pay for the disaster.
“Depositors will have access to all their money from Monday, March 13,” the Treasury Department, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Federal Reserve said in a joint statement, after several days in which they have struggled to avoid a knock-on effect on other financial institutions.
