According to the Ministry of Health (Minsa), Nicaragua accumulates 243 deaths due to the COVID-19 and 19,096 confirmed cases since the virus was detected in March 2020. However, these data are distant from those of the Citizen observatory, which triples the number of cases and deaths in the country due to the pandemic.

Despite the fact that the Minsa has maintained a permanent house-to-house vaccination campaign to avoid further contagion of the coronavirus, the Ortega regime promotes massive activities every week where no protection measures are taken.
