The president said that with that action the US government “confirms its disrespect to the norms of international law by illegally confiscating a Venezuelan plane.”
For his part, the Foreign Minister of the Island, Bruno Rodríguez, said that the US Secretary of State ”

On Thursday, Donald Trump’s government confiscated the plane that was parked in a hangar of an airport in Santo Domingo for alleged violations of US export control laws and sanctions, the second apparatus seized to Venezuela in the last five months.
The Dominican authorities delivered to Rubio, who visited the country, this device at the Isabela airport, in Santo Domingo, where he was held since 2024.
