The United States ambassador to the Dominican Republic, Leah Francis Campos, This Tuesday he paid a visit to the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of Altagraciaone of the main symbols of faith and cultural heritage of the country.
Francis Campos also visited the Altagracia Museum, which collects the history of the marian devotion from the 16th century until the construction of the current temple.
During the tour, the ambassador was accompanied by the bishop of the Diocese of Nuestra Señora de la Altagracia in Higuey, Monsignor Jesús Castro Marte.

The ambassador also participated in the Holy Mass held in the basilica on the occasion of the Epiphany Feast. When referring to the homily, he quoted the words of Bishop Castro Marte:
