And this month, Virginia Staricopresident of LaNave Multimodal, Cargo Postal and Fundación La Nave, a woman who claims to have reached the top at a professional level will walk the base of the Mountain Everestas preparation to climb Aconcagua in 2024.

Staricco will travel at the end of the month and will follow the experience of the businesswoman Vanessa Estolthe first Uruguayan in doing this journey.

As Estol told The Observer, Staricco wants to climb three of the seven highest mountains on each continent in less than a year. In March 2023 he will travel to the Everest base. In September he will go to Kilimanjaro, in Africa. In January 2024 he will travel to Aconcagua, and in April 2024 he will travel to climb the summit of Everest.

“This trip is part of a challenge that I have as a woman, first, and as a businesswoman, later,” she said in dialogue with The Observer.

She’s not new to the business world, she’s been around her whole life. He grew up among trucks and at the age of 12 he began to accompany his father at work in the family trucking company. As a girl, her bedroom, instead of the typical artist posters, had images of trucks on the walls.

She went through various jobs, including working in bakeries and also taking care of children, but later returned to work in the transport sector.

The businesswoman has been linked to the transport sector since she was a child.

Woman, mother and businesswoman

In his business life he has had ups and downs, and now, this adventure “is like breaking a challenge, generating a connection, which at this stage of my life is very important,” he said.

As a mother, she passed “the challenge” of seeing her children grow and move on, and as the leader of a company she faced “storms and successes.”

One of the difficult moments was facing the divorce of her husband and partner in the company for 15 years, a division in the firm and “difficult gender situations”. She now finds herself “in a stage of balance, of maturity” that she faces with a different look and she affirmed that she is going through an emotional search “and to find myself,” she added.

For her, having a goal is key to any venture, and being clear that in order to achieve it, you must follow a path that will be made up of good and bad moments.

As a recommendation for women in the sector who are in moments of “storm”, she reflected: “The important thing is not to get out of the way, always look up. It is like a mountain to climb, in the middle there will be obstacles, but you have to know how to overcome them. You don’t have to stop following dreams, or block yourself from what they say. As a woman it is important to know that one can fulfill all the roles”.
