The National University of La PlataWith Wikimedia Argentina and the National Archive of Memoryorganize the second virtual edition of “Files on Vigil”, an activity that makes documents referring to human rights violations visible.
The initiative summons archival and cultural institutions to disseminate, on Wikimedia Commons, photographs, samples and audiovisual materials, among other documents, that refer to situations of human rights violations, the processes of memory, truth and justice and repair produced in our country.
The organizers recalled in a statement that last year this activity was carried out within the framework of “Celebrate the archives” and that “the idea is to continue betting on give full access to digitized documents that testify to serious human rights violationsvaluing the social, historical and cultural role in archival institutions”.
In addition, it was reported that on March 2 and 16 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. talks with information of the proposal and personalized instructions on what documents can be shared and on the graphic resources that could be used.
