The president of the Institute of Mining Engineers of Peru (IIMP), Darío Zegarra, reported that the United States will be the allied country in the edition Perumin 38 that will be carried out in 2027.
This election responds to the commemoration of the 200 years of diplomatic relations between Peru and the Northern Country, and almost two decades of the Treaty of Free Trade (FTA) signed in 2006.
As explained, the Alliance reflects the United States’s commitment to the sustainable development of our sector and with the future of our nations “and recalled that both countries signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen the supply chains of critical minerals, a key piece in the global energy transition.

On the other hand, the Australia ambassador, Maree Misao Ringland, and the former Canadian ex-ambassador, Louis-Clément Marcotte, received recognition for their collaboration as allied countries in editions 35 and 36 of Perumin.
When collaborating as allied countries in the recent editions of Perumin, Australia was present with more than 40 companies in the 2022 edition, while, for 2023, Canada brought together 30 mining suppliers in that country that are linked to mining 4.0, in addition to 20 Canadian companies.
