The United States extends license for international credits to Monomers

The United States Government formalized the extension of the license to the Monómeros company to access international credits.

The Barranquilla-based company published on its networks the authorization of the Treasury Department Office of Foreign Assets Control in which the license is extended until June 2023.

With this document, monomers can carry out transactions that the Venezuelan government cannot due to sanctions from the United States.

The license expired on June 30, so the union organization of Monómeros had warned of the risk for 2,000 families and Colombian agriculture if the extension was not authorized.

Company management expressed willingness to work with the incoming government of Gustavo Petro for food security.
