As part of UK Prosperity Program in Colombia, 1.2 million pounds sterling (more than 6,400 million pesos) will be invested in projects of the department of Caldas.
(See: The works that would guarantee fuel supply in the country).
The first of them is the delivery of the studies that contain the technical, legal, financial and social structuring (ETLFS) of the Integrated Public Passenger Transport System (SITP) for Manizales.
The implementation of the SITP is fundamental for the development of the Caldense capital and its surrounding municipalities, as it will articulate the modes of transport and promote the use of cleaner technologies while adopting a vision of accessibility and inclusion.

On the other hand, the Program also invests about 965,000 pounds sterling (around 5,100 million pesos) in the validation of the studies and structuring of the Airport Master Plan of the Café Airport (Aerocafé).
“The support to Aerocafé, by the UK Prosperity program and CAF as an implementer, offers a valuable opportunity to incorporate the most modern industry standards, technical soundness, a strong focus on gender, inclusion and environmental sustainability.”Said Ambassador Colin Martin-Reynolds.
