The General Union of Transport Workers Associations (UGATT) ratified, from Tucumán, that next Tuesday, November 8, a transportation stoppage in all the country.
The industry will implement the measure of force claiming a bonus of $50,000 for retirees and pensioners. The transportation stoppage was summoned for 24 hours from 00:00 on Tuesday.
From the UGATT they argued that the transportation stoppage It happens because “they are forgetting our colleagues and we cannot forget our roots. Retirees have to spend their Christmas and New Year; for that reason, we ask for it for the month of December, because they are really screwed up and every year“.
Meanwhile, this Friday there will be a meeting between the general secretary of La Fraternidad, Omar Maturano, Sergio Aladio, of the Truckers union, and the Ministers of Economy, Sergio Massa, and Transport, Alexis Guerrera.
In the meeting, the Government will seek to listen to the demands of the sector in order to avoid the force measure next Tuesday; however, it is not assured that the Executive will consider paying the $50,000 bonus.
From the sector they indicated: “they are convinced of going on strike, because if the different sectors are going to receive a bonus, we believe that the grandparents, who are the priority that we workers have to take care of them and honor them based on our doctrine and philosophy of life as General Perón taught us, he has to receive it and if he does not get it we will go to the unemployment”.
It should be remembered that The Government authorized a food reinforcement of $45,000 for vulnerable sectors that do not receive support from the Stateand that evaluates the possibility of paying a year-end bonus for private workers.
What services will be affected by the strike
