The Apostille is the certification of the authenticity of the signature of public officials in the exercise of their functions and the quality in which they have acted. In this line, from The Foreign Ministry specified the two ways to apostille documents in the document. How is it done?
According to what was shared on social networks, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs specified that one of the ways to apostille is for documents with a digital signature:
– They are documents issued by Colombian entities.
– They have a digital signature accredited by a certifying company.
– Allows easy sending of information from one entity to another.
– They are verified directly and automatically by the issuing entity.
The second way is through of digitized documents:
– They are physical documents that have been signed by hand, scanned and converted into a digital image.
– The document is saved in PDF format.
– It is uploaded online at the time of filling out the apostille or legalization application.
“Digitized documents require verification of the signature by the Foreign Ministry, in the entity that issued your document or entity that generated your certificate. Before starting your process, you must request the documents from the corresponding entity,” they officially completed.

Apostille: what are the costs and means of payment
– Once your application has been approved, you have 30 days to verify the details of your documentrequest correction if necessary and proceed with the payment by generating a unique reference.
– For payment at Banco GNB Sudameris and Servibanca, se must take into account the unique payment reference (numeric code) and NOT generate or print any payment receipt.

– For payment with Visa or MasterCard Credit Card, verify the cost of the procedure and the currency, taking into account that it has a bank commission value of $2,380 pesos.
-TPlease note that payment at Banco Agrario is reflected the next day and that the only cities authorized for payment at Banco Agrario They are: Valledupar (Cesar), San Andrés, Quibdó (Chocó), Mocoa (Putumayo), Arauca (Arauca), Leticia (Amazonas).
