The two teachers who were detained in La Paz were released last Wednesday because they they were allegedly in possession of firecrackers.

The teachers pointed out that they were detained while they were marching with their colleagues, demanding a higher budget for Education and for the change in the curriculum.

The assigned judge found no evidence to show that they were in possession of the firecrackers, which were in a Magisterium vehicle.

Since the beginning of this Thursday afternoon, the teachers and the Minister of Education have been meeting in search of reaching agreements.
