The commander of the Fourth Brigade of the National Army, Juan Carlos Fajardo Gonzales, reported that the two soldiers who had been kidnapped in Briceño, Antioquia, returned to freedom.
The two uniformed men, identified as the Petty Officer Duván Arley Prado Moreno and Private Fabián Andrés Zambrano Hurtado, combat medics were, they were released in the village of Palmichar.
The commander rejected the facts indicating that it is a violation of human rights and stated that the situation will be presented to the Office of the Attorney General of the Nation so that it formulates the corresponding accusations against those responsible that are already identified.

After learning of the release of these soldiers, the Army revealed, in a preliminary way, that the uniformed were mistreated.
“Our two soldiers were released in the village of Palmichar, municipality of Briceño, Antioquia, after being physically and psychologically assaulted and mistreated while they were kidnapped. Their weapons and war material were also stolen,” said Commander Fajardo.
It should be remembered that in an operation carried out by the Fourth Brigade of the National Army against the dissidents of the front 36 of the Farc, the two soldiers had been kidnapped.
These events were recorded in the same village where they were released, north of Antioquia, when an alleged 15-year-old subversive was wounded in the middle of the operation, who had been recruited by this illegal group.

While the evacuation of the minor was advanced, the community confronted the military to form a coup and kidnap the soldiers.
