A group of 17 political organizations, including parties, alliances and citizen groups, received information from the technical staff of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) that, in turn, it monitored the financial statements of these entities.
“The purpose was follow up on the reports issued and referred to the financial statements of the 2020 efforts and the rendering of accounts of the 2021 subnational elections”, explained the head of the Technical Control Unit (UTF) of the TSE, Viviana Vacaflor.
The training and evaluation took place this weekend in environments of the Electoral Court of Santa Cruz. According to a report from thehe institution, 32 political organizations were invited to this workshop and 17 managed to attend.
Vacaflor pointed out that the meeting has also served so that “there is coordination with the political organizations” so that the militants, the mains financiers of these forces, can receive information on the expenses by the leaders.
The specialists worked with political representatives on issues such as “economic management, accountability and transparency in the execution of its resources”, indicates the report of the electoral body.
“Likewise, a follow-up was made of the reports issued by the political forces on economic management and the benefits of the control that are developed within the framework of the Law 1096 of Political Organizations”specified Viviana Vacaflor.
In accordance with this regulation, each year the country’s political organizations must render accounts to their militants. The training has already been done in Potosí and Pando, while the next technical meeting is scheduled to take place in Trinidad, Beni.
The training for militants can be requested from the TSE by the delegates of the political organizations who want to expand their knowledge on economic management, oversight and accountability to militants established in Law 1096.
