As since April 19, 1998 and now on digital platforms, in the newspaper we maintain in force the commitment to carry out the best possible journalism, at the service of the community
27 years of operation arrives this Saturday, April 19, the newspaper La Verdad. Our first printed edition took to the street on Sunday, April 19, 1998. He began with the newspaper, with the motto “For the intellectual freedom of Zulia”, a new chapter of journalism in the region.
More than 140 shareholders with “the common denominator of Zulianity” and defenders of democracy launched, after more than a year of gesturing the idea and from its headquarters in the Veritas sector, in Maracaibo, our first copy.
“The truth is a newspaper that is inspired by the conviction that, in a democratic society, such as ours, a social media can and should be an instrument at the service of the community, which transcends particular interests and embodies the desires and hopes of all,” said the first editorial.
Twenty -seven later we are still in force, with the same conviction and publishing from the same headquarters, through our website and social networks, after the entity and much of the country without a written press remain.
We continue to present the local, regional, national and international events, in its different areas, with the clarity and veracity of always, from Laverdad.com and Diario La Truth in X, Facebook, Instagram, Telegram, Threads and WhatsApp.
Despite the economic vicissitudes that hit the country in recent years, we keep the commitment to truth and be the protagonists of the best possible journalism, with the values of respect for our users and political impartiality, among others.
This Saturday, April 19, its Board of Directors and all the staff not only celebrate with joy and pride the 27th anniversary, but also once again resume our effort to remain an instrument at the service of the community.
To all our users, followers of social networks and commercial allies, thanks for your trust and fidelity!
