Expectations for the growth of the Mexican economy during 2023 range between 0.9% and 3.0%, according to various international institutions and financial organizations.
The Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) is the most optimistic institution, while Citibanamex projects a very modest figure.
For its part, ECLAC (Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean) updated its projection to 1.1 percent. This institution believes that Mexico will face an economic slowdown directly linked to the fact that the United States will also face a loss of dynamism.
The OECD (Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development) and the Bank of Mexico they project growth of 1.6 and 1.5% respectively.
