The Treasury extends the term for PHASE beneficiaries with special accounts to withdraw or transfer funds

Santo Domingo. – The Treasury announced this Wednesday the extension of the deadline until November 7 for the beneficiaries of the Employee Solidarity Assistance Fund (PHASE) that still have resources in the special accounts of the Reserve Bank (Banreservas) can carry out the consultation and the subsequent withdrawal or transfer of funds.

Treasury, at the time of the entry into force of the decree that created FASE, signed an agreement with Banreservas to open special bank accounts in favor of unbanked beneficiaries.

The Vice Minister of the Treasury, Derby De Los Santos, declared that the objective of the measure is that all the people who own these resources can make use of them. “We are giving them 30 more days to consult, verify if they have available amounts and go to a Banreservas office to transfer or withdraw them and close their accounts,” he explained.

By virtue of the agreement, once this assistance program had ended, the funds not withdrawn would be transferred to the Single Account of the Treasury (CUT) and the accounts closed by the banking institution. As soon as the new term ends, the amounts that are still available will go to the CUT.

In order to facilitate the verification process, the Treasury enabled the link on its web portal www.hacienda.gov.do, where the availability of funds can be checked.
