By decision of the Minister of Finance, Óscar Llamosas, the official Nathalia Rocío Arévalo Ortiz, is the new head of the Integration Directorate of the Undersecretary of State for Economy.
His entry is given to replace Roberto Esen Mernes Rabl, who was appointed Vice Minister of Economy, replacing Iván Haas, who requested permission from the state portfolio and resigned from office.

Arévalo has been in the Ministry of Finance for 22 years. Hereinafter, will be in charge of planning, organizing, directing and controlling activities related to integration agreements at the bilateral, regional and multilateral level, as well as negotiations related to tariff issues.
Likewise, it must maintain relations with institutions linked to the national economy and with those that manage international economic relations in order to unify criteria.
She was a UNDP consultant for integration issues from 2001 to 2003; In 2004 she held the position of Senior Technician – Foreign Trade and Integration until 2013. In 2014 she was appointed head of the Mercosur Department, of the Integration Directorate to date.
She is an economist graduated from the National University of Asunción (UNA), Master in Public Finance from the National University of Asunción; and Specialist in Foreign Trade and Economic Integration EDAN-UCSA.
