With the presence of President Luis Abinader, other officials and personalities, the Chamber of Deputies acknowledged today to the Ciudad Destino Tourist Complex Cap Cana for his 20 years developing large investments in real estate and hotel tourism in the country.
The solemn tribute, held in the National Assembly Hall, was held welcoming a resolution approved by the Lower House, on September 28, which highlights its significant contributions to the country’s economy and its international positioning.
The acknowledgment scroll was delivered to Fernando HazouryChairman of the Board of Directors, by Alfredo Pacheco, Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies.
Pacheco stressed that for the Lower House and for the National Congress it was a high honor pay homage to the business group as a way of testifying that it has contributed to good investments and to adding value to tourism and the business sector.
While, hazoury asked, before the Dominican authorities, not to forget that the tourism is the “oil” from the Dominican Republic and that, for him, is still in the “preadolescence” stage.
In this sense, he also asked the country to give greater follow-up to the real estate tourisma subsector that for him is in active and continuous growth.
Hazoury stated that he understands that the country should double the arrival of tourists and surpass it.
He thanked the recognition received, with which he affirms would culminate the 20 years celebration of Destination City Cap Canawhose anniversary they have celebrated for almost a year.
He stressed that the business group has invested for two decades 3.5 billion dollarsof which 1,500 million dollars were allocated to infrastructure, which, in his opinion, allows them to have a real platform for growth.

Candida Mercedes Toral Widow Hazoury gave a jocular touch to the solemn act by taking the floor improvised.
She introduced herself as the mother of “these young Hazourys”, revealing that when they were little she knew they would be able to do big things and that “thank goodness” that they were good things.
