The Ecuadorian Jordy Caicedo converted this Saturday the goal with which Tigres UANL led Querétaro 2-1 and they jumped to the first place of the 2022 Opening of Mexican soccer, at the conclusion of the sixth date of the tournament this Sunday.

This Saturday the Xolos de Tijuana rose to fourth place by defeating Mazatlán 2-0with a goal by Víctor Guzmán and an own goal by Carlos Vargas, while Puebla dropped to fifth place, drawing goalless with San Luis, the same result as Guadalajara-Pachuca.

In an exciting match, the Ecuadorian Ángel Mena converted a last minute penalty and this Sunday gave León a 3-2 victory over América, with which they jumped to the sixth step. Chilean Víctor Dávila, Osvaldo Rodríguez and Ángel Mena converted for León and Henry Martin discounted twice for América.

In other weekend results, Cruz Azul defeated Necaxa this Saturday by 1-0 with a goal from Chilean Iván Morales and this Sunday San Laguna defeated champion Atlas 1-0, with a score from Argentine Juan Brunetta.

The seventh day of the championship will be played from Thursday to Sunday upcoming with the following matches:

Friday 05.07: Mazatlan-Guadalajara.

Saturday 06.07: Monterrey-León and Santos Laguna-Cruz Azul.

Sunday 07.07: Toluca-Tijuana, San Luis-Necaxa, Pachuca-Tigres UANL and América-Juárez FC.
