The Union of truckersof which Pablo Moyano is a part, was closer to the force measures after the third hearing of the parity of the item in the Ministry of Labor failed.
During this afternoon, the third hearing took place between businessmen and trade unionists from freight transport at work. The employers’ chambers raised their salary recomposition proposal from 81% to 84%, a figure that was rejected by the unionists. Hugo and Pablo Moyano rejected the business offer of 84% where they claimed a 131% salary increase for their colleagues truckers.
Beyond the salary improvement for the truckersHugo Moyano also requested an end-of-year bonus and an increase in additional bonuses for all branches of activity, such as: for drivers of long distances an extra 20% reaching a salary recomposition of 150%.
Hugo Moyano, leader of the Union declared: “The Government would have to use all possible means to make these gentlemen (businessmen) understand that a sacrifice must also be made, such as earning a little less.”
In addition, he spoke of the Government to which he himself claims to belong: “It is making all the necessary effort to prevent the issue of inflation from deepening further and that must be understood because this happens in the world and cannot be ignored.”
Prior to starting to discuss salaries, Pablo Moyano announced that if an agreement is not reached “the strike of the tire workers is going to be a bean with what it is going to do truckers”.
The Labor union it is negotiating with the Federation of Freight Transport Business Entities (FADEACC); the Argentine Confederation of Automotive Transport (CATAC); and the Argentine Federation of Transport and Logistics Entities (Faetyl).
Agreements of other guilds
During the last weeks several unions signed their annual joint ventures, the largest increase to date, and due to the projection of inflation of more than 100% for 2022, it was for the Argentine Union of Naval Workers, with 110%; the Insurance Union, with 109.75%; and the oil workers, who received a 98% salary increase.
They also received significant increases, but below the inflation projection, the Single Union of Ship Watchmen with 94%; teachers from the city of Buenos Aires, with 91.06%; and the Perfume Workers Union with 90%.
