The Strongest got a victory they needed after what happened in the classic. They beat Real Tomayapo 2-0, adding 51 points and being seven behind Bolívar, although they have the match pending against Oriente. Winning was imperative for the tabbies to continue dreaming of reaching the celestial one.
The local team made the difference in the complement since in the first stage their football was too weak, without ingenuity and with many doubts. The only one who stood out from the rest was Gabriel Sotomayor, although he was not lucky enough to score until the second half. Tomayapo was ineffective.
The first stage was very poor. None of them generated a real risk on the rival goal, which made the game boring. The Srongest was encouraged by Gabriel Sotomayor, but the momentum of the 26th was not enough to violate the goal of Pedro Galindo, who, in any case, was safe.
Sotomayor, at 26′, generated the first risky play by entering the rival area, to finish awkwardly into the hands of the Tarija goalkeeper. The answer came shortly after, through Agustín Graneros, but the desperate shot from afar was a blow for Viscarra.
Before the first half ended, Sotomayor insisted again and was joined by a header from Álvaro Quiroga after a corner kick sent by an erratic Amoroso. With the score at 0-0 they went to half-time, although there was a tough challenge ahead. There was a lot of improvement to be made.
The plugin started at full steam, in fact, in two minutes more options were generated than in the entire first stage. At 46′ Barbery almost surprised Viscarra and shortly after Pedro Galindo supported his team with two spectacular saves, against Sotomayor and Ramallo.
They were not the only attacks since shortly after Graneros demanded Viscarra again although Tigre’s response was finally effective. Gabriel Sotomayor (55′) received a cross from Amoroso and finished by controlling in front of Galindo and finishing directly towards the goal.
Then it was the turn of Sebastián Guerrero who scored the second for a brindle that entered better, who took advantage of the spaces that his rival gave him and who hit to take a 2-0 that he deserved. This victory allows him to add 51 points and be 7 behind Bolívar, although he has one less game.
