Santo Domingo. – The Force of the people Go to the polls today, as part of your process to strengthen the internal structure of the organizationafter being founded by former president Leonel Fernández after his departure from the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD).
Fernández himself called members of the group to Participate massively in the elections, that will be held within the framework of the First Electoral Congress “Doctor Manolo Tavárez Justo” Voting centers enabled throughout the country to choose the new leaders of the opposition force.
“In these elections we are going to choose the directors of our party, the members of the Central Directorate, provincial presidents, municipal presidents; in short, we will go from a stage of de facto leaders to be Legitimate leaderselected mostly by the different companions members of the agencies of our party, ”explained the ex -president in an audiovisual released in their social networks.
In the same, he also highlighted the political transcendence of the process, indicating that marks the transition of the Force of the people of being a party under construction to a fully institutionalized organization.
He added that this will allow greater concentration in the national process and strengthen the institution to be an option for the elections of the year 2028.
Fernández will exercise his right to vote at 11:30 in the morningat the Republic of Colombia, located in the ESPAILLAT Ensanche, in Circumscripen 3 of the National District. The elections
The election process contemplates the choice of 1,500 members of the central managementof which 610 will be elected during the first day; 183 at the national level and 427 at the territorial level, as stipulated in Law 33-18 of parties, groups and political movements.
They will also be chosen 74 Territorial presidenciescorresponding to provinces, municipalities and municipal districts where the electoral process was enabled.
