Axel Kaiser, Chilean lawyer, economist and political analyst, launched a book where he analyzes the American reality in the political sectors and the economic effects it entails.
The economist mentioned that he was in our country in 2016 for a short period of time and that he was quite surprised at how backward the country’s capital was, since it came from Guatemala where everything was more modern. However, he mentioned that it seems to him that there has been a development within Asunción; “The progress that has been made in the last 6 years has been very great at first glance, many things have been done, Paraguay has a good economic policy, with low taxes and that allows a lot of investment to come and more job proposals are created” mentioned.
Kaiser stressed that he believes it is very important to continue keeping tax costs low in order to continue receiving resources from all of Latin America and, above all, to continue protecting property rights. “I congratulate you for what you have done, and I hope that Paraguayans are aware of how difficult it is to advance. Today Chileans see Paraguay as a focus of investment and also as a place where they can live”.
“Paraguay could become the new jewel in the Latin American crown if they continue with reasonable economic policies and making economic decisions that are technically sound, thus creating prosperity. I am sure they will do very well” she finished.
This book will soon be available in physical form in our country while it can be purchased digitally through the internet. “I hope that it will soon be massively available in Paraguay and that it will be a contribution to continue maintaining a healthy institutional and political-economic trajectory.”
Referendum in Chile and analysis of the situation in other countries
Kaiser spoke about the political changes that Chile is going through and mentioned that they are currently experiencing a terrible period: “The situation is disastrous and that has to do with the advance of an ideology based on class struggle, on resentment, on envy disguised as social justice and that today has led us to the point of creating a new constitution”.
The referendum, to be held in September, will finally destroy Chile’s liberal democracy to make way for authoritarian populism and it would not have come to this if so many mistakes and negligence had not been made and, above all, if the democratic sectors had not They would have been so cowardly. Although there are sectors that are against this new constitution, they were very passive and allowed themselves to be despised and ignored by the most radical left and did not stop it when they should have.
The current constitution is the most reformed in Chile, it has more than 200 fundamental reforms: “Ricardo Lagos takes Pinochet’s signature because he is a socialist president, this is a new constitution and it is democratic, but there are always those who lie and deceive to come to power; They use Pinochet a lot in their speech “and if his constitution is still out, the communist party would continue to be prohibited, there are several things that would not have happened as they did today.”
In economic matters, Kaiser referred to Chile as a country intoxicated with primitive egalitarianism and full of social hatred, since it fell into a state of self-flagellation where everyone let themselves be and began to depend on others. “Chile today is a very insecure country with organized crime and narco-politics, we are in a catastrophe and I don’t know if we are going to be able to get out,” he declared.
Finally he spoke about other countries such as Venezuela, Peru and Colombia; where the cultural hegemony and the set of beliefs and principles that define the way of thinking of people are of the left: “When the ideas that predominate in society are anti-capitalist, anti-market, anti-state of law, there comes a point where the institutions reach to lean in that direction. Generally, these rulers always promise that they will give everything and by not fulfilling it, society ends up fractured and full of hate. That’s why they ended up the way they are” he finished.
