Sclerodermia, also known as progressive systemic sclerosis, is an autoimmune disease that causes the tank and skin trenching, and can affect internal organs and the digestive tract. The first symptoms that Daniela experienced included changes in the coloration of her hands, cramps and inflammation in the limbs. These indications led her to seek medical attention, where she received the diagnosis that would change her life.
As the disease advanced, Daniela faced significant challenges. The scleroderma not only affected its internal health, but also caused visible changes in its appearance, such as hair loss and thinning of the skin. In search of an improvement in his quality of life, on December 5, 2024, Daniela underwent a bone marrow transplant at the Valle del Lili Clinic, in Cali. This procedure, considered of high risk, implied a hospitalization of 40 days and intensive treatments, including chemotherapy. Despite the loss of 10 kilograms of weight and the total fall of his hair, the transplant was successful, giving him a renewed hope.
