A parade of scantily clad models in a battalion of the National Army located in the department of Caldas has caused a stir on social networks.
In images uploaded to different digital platforms, a large number of women can be seen dressed in a tight dark-colored bodysuit and taking a walk on the Ayacucho Battalion square, located on Calle 74 #22-94 in Manizales.
Men are also part of the parade.
Around them, several soldiers guard the walk of the models, a recording that lasts at least 15 seconds, which was enough for users to show their “discontent” on social networks.

The agency explains
Since Big Model A statement was issued to the public in order to clarify the rumors and speculations that emerged on social networks due to the viral videos of models parading inside the facilities of an Army battalion in Manizales.
“No woman’s rights were violated. It was a cultural demonstration event where space is requested for the completion of degrees for our students, ”says the letter.

In addition, it adds that this event was not carried out or paid for by the National Army.
“Modeling is an act of respect just as it could be a soccer tournament, activities all authorized by parents,” says the newsletter.
Finally, it adds that the video in which the models parade is only part of the event and that there were other recreational activities: “It remains to be clarified that in said defamed video they only show a few seconds of the event that took place,” the letter reads.

What did the Army say about it?
“The event was held within the framework of the day of visits to young people who are doing military service and are part of the second contingent this year, in the company of their families,”
In the letter, the institution adds that activities were carried out within its facilities with presentations by artists of popular and urban music and a presentation by the band of musicians from the military unit.
Regarding the images of the models, the Army clarified that it was the graduation of the students of the «Big Model Academy and New Model Talents and Diversity Foundation»
“Since last April they had sent a request for their students, parents, teachers, presenter, directors to attend the Unit’s facilities, in support of regional talent,” says the bulletin issued by the Army.
The staging, according to what was expressed in the Army statement, was “the theme of the evolution of costumes from the 1920s to the futuristic ones.”
Faced with this situation, a commission from the General Inspectorate of the Army addressed the battalion in question to carry out the pertinent verifications to “take the necessary administrative or disciplinary actions,” the statement added.
