In three minutes, the criminals had what they wanted: they entered Portones Shopping, went directly to the jewelry store they had planned, stole the collection money and several watches. They escaped and nothing was heard from them. until this tuesday.
The assault occurred on Wednesday October 19. Until 5:24 p.m. that day, the trading day was going on as normal. A minute later, three men entered with their faces covered, armed, and with the intention of assaulting GR Joyeros, which is located at store 138, near one of the doors of the mall.
The criminals were there on Wednesday morning “marking” the placeaccording to information to which he accessed The Observer. The investigators observed that at 10:20 a.m. a white FAW brand vehicle prowled the place, next to the Renault that would later be used. The first was driven by a man, and the second was occupied by three people, although no one imagined the intentions of those four people.
Around 5:25 p.m., the criminals parked another vehicle, a dark Renault car, in front of the door that was a few meters from the jewelry store. They entered in a certain hurry, one of them took the manager of the premises by the neck while another took charge of break with a hammer shop window and thus have access to jewelry and watches valued at thousands of dollars.

The Renault was also reported stolen, police sources then reported to The Observer. It was after a robbery of a driver on October 15. The FAW was stolen on October 2, according to police information.
Crash and arrest, with one failed attempt
A few days after the assault, the Scientific Police informed the police and the prosecutor’s office about the identification of one of them, who in turn was arrested this Tuesday after evading a police control in the neighborhood North Falkland. He is a 26-year-old who has a criminal record for robbery, the last one sentenced in 2019.
The Justice issued an arrest warrant on October 24, five days after the assault.
