The State will pay 532 pesos for each vote to the parties

Once the final scrutiny is completed, the State must provide the parties with remuneration for the investment allocated to their campaigns, with a total value of 30 million dollars distributed among all, with the Frente Amplio being the one with the highest monetary remuneration for the amount of votes obtained in the elections.

In this way, the votes have an economic value and the amount that is accumulated contributes to the advertising implemented, the printing of lists, as well as the return they will receive according to the votes that each party obtained.

In total, the State will allocate 30 million dollars for remuneration to each party, stipulating that each vote will be paid around 87 indexed units each, which would be equivalent to 532 Uruguayan pesos per vote.

How much does each party receive?

Taking into account the final scrutiny and once all the seats in Parliament have been assigned, while waiting for the runoff election day, the State has already calculated how much money will go to each party.

The Frente Amplio received the most votes during election Sunday (1,057,515, to be more exact), so it is the largest beneficiary with a total of 13.7 million dollars in state returns, which is equivalent to 564 million of Uruguayan pesos.

In second place was the National Party with a total of 644,147 votes, which translates into 8,358,200 dollars (344 million Uruguayan pesos). Meanwhile, the third most voted, the Colorado Party, will obtain a total of 5 million dollars (205 million Uruguayan pesos) for its 385,655 votes obtained.

For its part, the surprise of election day, the Sovereign Identity party, will obtain $840,000 for its 64,735 votes, which is equivalent to 34 million Uruguayan pesos. Meanwhile, Cabildo Abierto with a total of 59,000 votes will be the beneficiary of 765,560 dollars (31 million Uruguayan pesos). Finally, the Independent Party will receive 534,670 dollars (22 million Uruguayan pesos) for its 41,206 votes obtained.
