The south of Quito will run out of water at the start of Carnival

The Quito Metropolitan Potable Water Company informed that from midnight on Saturday, February 26, 2022, the service of drinking water in the south of the capital.

This due to the change of a 30-inch ball valve in the system’s conduction line Mica-Quito South.

For this reason, all the neighborhoods supplied by the El Troje treatment plant, ranging from Morán Valverde Avenue to the cantonal border with Mejía (in the south) will be left without the vital liquid.

The service will gradually return on February 27, 2022. The Metropolitan Company explained that it will supply Water through the service of tankers that will be located in strategic places, mainly medical centers, commercial premises and geriatrics.
