The Society of Internal Medicine of the Dominican Republic (SMIRD) rendered tribute to the doctor Jorge Gerardo Marte Báezrecognized as a pillar of the Internal medicine in the country and noted for his work as a teacher and promoter of this specialty.
During the eventthe past president of the SMIRD, Jorge Soto, highlighted the visionary contribution of Mars in a context where medicine faces growing fragmentation.
