From the National Metereological Service (NMS) have warned that, next Monday, April 25, a strange climatic phenomenon will occur throughout the country, so that citizens will experience sudden changes in temperature.
This event, according to the organismis called a “subseasonal meteorological phenomenon”, since unusual short-lived climatic events occur in autumn, as indicated by the NMS.
The NMS reported that temperature changes will occur from this Sunday, especially in the northern part of the country, where 35° and 40° could be reachedespecially in the provinces of Chaco and Formosa.
While in the north they are preparing for intense heat, heavy rains are expected in the center of the country, since cold fronts will reach this part of the territory and move north.
Strong gusts of wind, including hail, are also expected, particularly in the province of Buenos Aires, where temperatures will range between 10° and 15° next week.
Likewise, the storms will be felt especially in the provinces close to the mountain range, such as Río Negro, Neuquén, Chubut and Mendoza, where snow could fall in the coming daysdue to the climatic phenomenon.
The abrupt weather change will be due to “a passage of low pressure systems through southern Patagonia that will last at least until next Thursday,” explained the NMS.
While the high temperatures are due to “a low pressure system that forms in the Pacific and that will allow the arrival of warm and humid air from tropical areas.”
What measures does the SMN recommend to face the climatic phenomenon?
From the organism They recommend taking precautions to cope with the abrupt change of climate, in the different regions of the country, so each population must take measures to protect themselves from the rain or the intense heat.
In this sense, the main recommendation is to pay attention to official announcements from the authorities, since although the phenomenon is expected to dissipate this week, conditions could change at any time.
