Since last Monday, much of the country has been affected by the presence of a polar wave, which according to the NMS (National Metereological Service), will run throughout the weekend.
Due to weather changes and low temperatures, the organism launched a yellow alert for snowfall in Neuquén and Río Negro, where according to the NMSaccumulated snow values between 15 and 40 cm high are expected.
The yellow alert NMS also mentions that “possible meteorological phenomena with the capacity for damage and risk of momentary interruption of daily activities” will be presentedso they invite authorities and citizens to take precautions.
According to the agency in Neuquén, the localities that will be affected are: Catán Lil, Collón Curá, Zapala, Aluminé low zone, Huiliches low zone, Lácar low zone, Huiliches mountain range, Lácar mountain range and south of Aluminé.
Also, the Cordillera de Aluminé, Cordillera de Chos Malal, Cordillera de Loncopué, Cordillera de Minas, Cordillera de Picunches and Cordillera de Ñorquín; while in Río Negro, the alert applies to the Pilcaniyeu Plateau, Ñorquincó Plateau, Nueve de Julio, west of El Cuy and Veinticinco de Mayo.
The NMS He explained that, in the mountainous areas, there could be more intense snowfall and that “the probability of rain and snow on the lower areas is not ruled out”, for which they recommend checking the status of the routes before traveling.
These conditions are expected to continue throughout the weekend; however, next week the cold weather will also persist with a high probability of rain in these areas of the country.
How will the weather be in the City of Buenos Aires
In accordance with the organismfor this Friday, in the City, low temperatures will predominate, with a minimum of 5° C and a maximum of 12° C. Although in the afternoon there will be a low probability of drizzles, at night the sky will be cloudy.
For Saturday, a mostly cloudy day is anticipated with thermal marks that will oscillate between 4º C and 11º C. For its part, cloudy skies are expected on Sunday with a minimum temperature of 6º and a maximum of 12º C.
