The sixth week of the oral trial for the crime of nora damassocommitted in 2006 in the Cordovan city of Fourth quarter and that has the widower Marcelo Macarron as the only defendant, it will open this Tuesday with the receipt of testimonial evidence.
The sixteenth hearing of this debate, with popular juries and in charge of the technical court of Chamber 1 of Riocuartense Crime, will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Although the court will announce the list of witnesses one hour before the start of the hearing, it was learned that the opening of the sixth week of the trial, which began on April 14, will continue with statements from workers who performed tasks in the house of the victim.
During the course of the trial, the court received 38 testimonials of the almost 300 planned for the entire process.
Macarrón is accused of the crime of “homicide qualified by the link, by treachery, and by price or promise of remuneration in an ideal competition”, a crime that contemplates life imprisonment as a penalty.
According to the prosecutor’s request for trial, presumably a few months before November 25, 2006, Macarrón instigated the crime of his wife motivated by marital conflicts and agreed with other people -not yet identified- on his execution.
For the accusers, the widower had the intention of “obtaining an advantage, probably political and/or economic, from the noise of eventual death.”
The femicide was committed between 8:00 p.m. November 24, 2006 and 3:15 a.m. on the 25when the widower was at a golf tournament in Punta del Este.
At that time, at least one person entered the family home, located in the Villa Golf neighborhood of Río Cuarto, where he attacked Nora and “approached her once she was asleep in her daughter’s room, located on the top floor of the house.
According to the cause, the attacker killed her using “the towel belt of the bathrobe that was in the room” and then “ordered the scene in order to simulate an act of a sexual nature, after which he left of the place, without leaving any trace of his person”.
