The Sismap and the transparency of the mayor's office

The Dominican Municipal Leaguethe Ministry of Public Administration and the Dominican Federation of Municipal Districts (Fedodim) reported that they are working so that at the beginning of 2023 they are incorporated into the Monitoring System of the Municipal Public Administration (Municipal Sismap) the 117 missing municipal district boards for greater management transparency.

Currently, 158 city halls and 82 municipal district boards have been monitored by this technological tool since its creation in 2015, through a gradual entry process that includes the incorporation of 35 new municipal district boards before the end of 2022.

The objective is to integrate all the local governments of the country in the monitoring and accompaniment scheme in the seismap Municipal since the beginning of 2023 and thus incorporate the remaining 117 municipal district boards into the platform.

“It is a scheme that will prioritize the indicators linked to the transparencyaccountability and human resources management to prepare these local governments for their final integration into the General Ranking of the seismap Municipal throughout 2023”, indicates a note delivered during an act of presentation of local government strategy.

“From the Dominican Municipal League we are promoting some documentation tools of the things we do with our own budget and also from the Presidency of the Republic”, said D’Aza.

Present at the event were the Director of Ethics and Government Integrity (Digeig); Miracles Ortiz Bosch; the president of the Dominican Federation of Municipal Districts (Fedodim), Ramón Santos, the General Director of Public Procurement, Carlos Pimentel and a representative of the Ministry of Public Administration.
