As part of the celebration of the 21st anniversary of the Superintendency of Pensions (sipen), its new owner, Francisco Torresshared today the short-term plans that it has structured to direct the entity and strengthen communication between the actors and the citizenry.
The sipen celebrated a thanksgiving mass at the San Antonio de Padua Parish, officiated by Reverend Kennedy Rodríguez, where the official indicated that the institution is engaged with the development of Social Security System and the strengthening of the functions of the entity as a model of the State.
He stated that, in accordance with the provisions of the President of the Republic Luis Abinader, the sipen will maintain a focus on tracing of the goals and presidential commitments, managing to obtain a performance in accordance with the guidelines of the Monitoring and Measurement System for Public Managementpresenting outstanding scores in each of the indicators evaluated.
Torres, who was named as head of the sipen by the president on November 22, 2022, highlighted the performance of the sector during its years in force and assured that it will continue promoting the correct development of the actors in benefit of the affiliates.
In that order, he said that the Superintendency manages the goal “promotion of pension education in society”, which has maintained an execution rate of 100%, achieving by November 2022 the awareness of 8,630 people through the various training courses provided.
Certifications
Torres highlighted that, thanks to the efforts of all the staff, the certification of the Management System Quality in accordance with the standards required by the International Standard ISO 9001:2015 and, in that same order, in September of this year, the renewal of the Certification System certificate was received from the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification (AENOR). Information Security Management under the ISO 27001 Standard.
The religious ceremony was attended by the different public and private actors of the Dominican Social Security System, as well as the personnel of the institution, whom the Superintendent thanked for the role they play, leading this regulatory body through a period of evolution and development over the years.
“Today, we commemorate 21 years of the implementation of one of the nation’s most important projects, being able to affirm with great satisfaction that the Dominican Pension System It has been one of the greatest achievements of Dominican society,” he said.
