This Wednesday, the Simon Bolivar Training Ship will depart from the Port of La Guaira, in its XXXIII Foreign Instruction Cruise “Caribe 2023”whose crew will be made up of 67 cadets from the Bolivarian Navy of Venezuela, who will test their knowledge during 64 days of navigation.
This is the third departure of the boat, after staying anchored for more than two years as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, to carry a message of peace and respect; so it has been planned to stop at five ports. The journey is linked to the Cycle of the Bicentennial of the Naval Battle of the Lakewith which the independence of Venezuela was sealed.
On the occasion of the departure, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, Through his social networks, he confirmed that the “Simón Bolívar School Ship, carries high our tricolor flag with the message of Peace and respect, a symbol of union and brotherhood between the peoples of the Caribbean, and the world”

Recently, the Commander General of the Bolivarian Navy of Venezuela, Admiral Aníbal Brito Hernández, at a press conference from Puerto de La Guaira, reported that the route of the Training Ship will follow the international waters of the Lesser and Greater Antillesspecifically to the ports of Barbados (Barbados), Saint Kitts and Nevis (Saint Kitts and Nevis), Havana (Cuba), Veracruz and Puerto Progreso (Mexico) and the Port of Cartagena de Indias (Colombia) and its return is planned next July 8.
“The Simón Bolívar Training Ship is known as the Ambassador Without Borders and Peace. has traveled a few 396 thousand nautical miles in 43 yearswhich is equivalent to navigating or circumnavigating the zero parallel, known as Ecuador, in about ten laps” explained Brito Hernández.
