A colorful show. In September, the Autonomous Municipal Government of Santa Cruz de la Sierra and the Galarza family – heirs to the Pippo empire – have been working on the details for present a show to Santa Cruz de la Sierra in style.
This 2024, the public event will be will be called the Golden Album of the Eastern Heritage and will feature a group of artists, who will move to the rhythm of music on Monday, September 23, at 9:00 p.m. and during the early hours of Tuesday, September 24, to celebrate the 214 years of the libertarian feat of Santa Cruz.
The traditional event is celebrating its 41st anniversary and will become a tribute to those 40 iconic songs from Santa Cruz, such as Jumechi, Lunita Camba, Trago Patron, The Night Owl, Enchanted Camba Land, The Carter, Our Santa Cruz and Long Live Santa Cruz!
Thus, you will have a varied offer from taquirari, chobena and carnival. There will be three ballets: Cupesí, Abdei and Kerembas. The line-up of singers will include Alenir Echeverría, Sonia Barrientos, Elvita Quintela, Fátima Trujillo, Abel Ribera, Chichita Vega and Guísela Santa Cruz.
“I am tremendously pleased that the serenade and the coronation takes place in El Arenal, one of the most iconic places we have in Santa Cruz de la Sierra,” said Sarita Mansilla, head of the Municipal Secretariat of Culture and Tourism.
The construction of the stage will begin three days beforehand in order to have everything ready on Monday 23rd, and rehearsals will take place from 16th September in the afternoons. It will be a three-hour show and will be disseminated through the Mayor’s social networks.
