The Secretary of Agriculture, Juan José Bahillo, will meet next week with the members of the Liaison Table and with references from other productive sectors, within the framework of a series of meetings that -according to what he assured- will take place both at the headquarters of the Secretariat as “in territory”.

“Our obligation and responsibility is to dialogue with all the productive sectors. Obviously the Liaison Table is one of the most representative areas, of a sector, but there are also other production sectors that have to be part of the agenda, such as tobacco, yerba mate, pear, apple, peanut, lemon, olives, walnuts, citrus fruits, rice, milk”, remarked the official in statements made this Friday to Télam Radio.

The Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, met this Thursday at the Treasury Palace with Bahillo and his predecessor, former Minister Julián Domínguez, in order to draw up a roadmap of issues to promote, as reported officially.

“Informally we are already in contact (with the Liaison Table), through phone calls and exchange of messages,” said the new secretary.

However, he pointed out: “We have made contact with the Liaison Table but also with other productive sectors. Next week we are going to set a work agenda and surely we will meet with all the productive sectors,” he asserted.

In addition, he pointed out that the meeting “can be in the Secretariat or inside the country, in the territory,” and remarked that he likes “to get to know the productive reality of each sector, so better decisions are made when you know the situation in the territory.

“With all the sectors it is necessary to build an agenda of work and dialogue, and seek consensus for decision-making and the application of more assertive public policies,” he postulated.
