In order to choose the members of the jury, 400 citizens were drawn by lot, to whom questionnaires have been applied in which they are asked their names, ethnicity, professions, if they have police relatives, their opinion on drugs, among other details that can influence the verdict.
This Tuesday afternoon it was possible to have a group of 40 possible members of the jury, the final list will be held tomorrow Thursday.
After the final selection of the jury, the initial arguments will begin when judge Brian Cogan decides, the same one who sentenced Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán. It is expected that it would be next Monday when that stage of the process begins.
