The search for a missing diver in Anzoáteguí continues

Coastal surveillance officials from the GNB, Guanta Coast Guard, Marine Firefighters, INEA and Cicpc personnel, work together to find the diver


The professional diver Liam John Moreno Rivas, 43, has been missing since the afternoon of Saturday, March 4. Your partner Jackson Antonio Meza Garcia (42) was found lifeless yesterday Sunday the 5th.

It was learned that both were in Jose Bay, Anzoátegui state, inspecting an international vessel named “Em Longevity”, with the Cameroonian flag. But after submerging at a depth of 23 meters in the sea at approximately 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, and seeing that they did not come out of the water, the rest of the crew members became distraught and called the corresponding authorities to notify what had happened.

Later search efforts managed to find the lifeless body of Meza García, at about 11:40 am.

Coast guard officials from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), the Guanta Coast Guard, Marine Firefighters, personnel from the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) and the Cicpc, work together to find the other missing diver.
